You conjure a curtain of fire that deals 2d6 points plus the warlock's Charisma modifier of fire and magic damage to any creature that attempts to pass through it. Half the wall's damage results from supernatural power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to fire. The curtain of flame lasts for 3 rounds before dissipating.
Gameplay Notes[]
- This is one of the few warlock abilities that properly respects the caster's full spellcasting level when rolling against spell resistance.
- This invocation also actually grants a reflex save that halves fire damage if successful (so in practice in reduces total damage by 25%).
- Undead takes doubled damage.
- Finally this invocation deals its stated damage once at the end of every round plus any time the target/s try to move into the area of effect, for a total of four damage instances per cast versus a stationary target.
