A character with this feat is tougher than normal, gaining one bonus hit point per level. Hit points are gained retroactively when choosing this feat.

Special: Clerics with the Earth domain and the frenzied berserker prestige class both receive this feat for free at level one. Rangers receive it for free at level three. A Boar animal companion will receive Toughness for free at 1st level. This feat is also passively granted by having Ilrah's Rib in a character's inventory, although it is only available in the Original Campaign.
