Parameters

name

(Optional) : string
Spell's name. If left blank, the page's title will instead be used, but this is not advisable due to some spell pages specifying "(spell)" in order to avoid page name conflicts, such as Heal (spell).

icon

(Optional) : string
Image to be used for the spell's icon that will be placed next to the spell's name. The image itself should be the standard spell's icon from the game.

image

(Optional) : string
Image to be used to showcase the spell that will be placed beneath the spell's name. The image is scaled to 300px width automatically.

level_innate

(Required) : integer
The innate level of the spell. Also is the effective spell level of an invocation.

level_bard

(Optional) : integer
The level at which a Bard receives the spell.

level_cleric

(Optional) : integer
The level at which a Cleric receives the spell.

level_druid

(Optional) : integer
The level at which a Druid receives the spell.

level_paladin

(Optional) : integer
The level at which a Paladin receives the spell.

level_ranger

(Optional) : integer
The level at which a Ranger receives the spell.

level_sorwiz

(Optional) : integer
The level at which a Sorcerer or Wizard receives the spell.

level_warlock

(Optional) : Least, Lesser, Greater, or Dark
The grade of the spell if it is an invocation.

level_additional

(Optional) : string
Used for things not covered by the other level_ parameters, such as Cleric domains or prestige class spells or abilities. Can be any text, including links. See the usage section for an example.

school

(Optional) : Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, Necromancy, Transmutation
The school of magic associated with the spell.

descriptor

(Optional) : string
Essentially deprecated since Neverwinter Nights 2 doesn't utilize 3.5E's descriptors.

components

(Optional) : V, S, VS
The spell components required by the spell, i.e. verbal, somatic, or both.

range

(Optional) : string, Long, Medium, Short, Touch, Personal
The spell's range. One of the 5 spell ranges, or whatever custom string specified.

area

(Optional) : string
The size of the spell's area of effect or the targets of effect, if any. Some spells have non-standard (i.e. not "Large", "Huge", etc.) sizes; these should be listed in meters since Neverwinter Nights 2's internal engine works in meters, and quite a few abilities are still based on meters for their areas.

duration

(Optional) : string
The amount of time appropriate to the spell's effect. This parameter overrides duration_type except when applying categories.

duration_type

(Optional) : string, Long, Medium, Short, Instant, 3s, 3s2, 2s
The spell's duration.
Long: 1 hour / caster level.
Medium: 1 minute / caster level.
3s: 18 seconds + 6 seconds / caster level.
3s2: 18 seconds + 6 seconds / 2 caster levels.
2s: 12 seconds + 6 seconds / 3 caster levels.
Short: 6 seconds / caster level.
If the spell's duration is unusual and doesn't fit one of the types exactly, choose the type that fits best (for categorization purposes) and set the duration parameter to what you want displayed on the spell's page.
Mixed things can leave this blank to have the spell categorized as unknown/special duration type spells.

save

(Optional) : string
The type of saving throw. Should be a standard, e.g. "[[Will]] Negates".

save_type

(Optional) : H, S, F, R, W, FR, FW, RW, FRW
Used to categorize the saves required to resist the spell.
H: Harmless
S: Special
F: Fortitude
R: Reflex
W: Will
FR: Fortitude and Reflex
FW: Fortitude and Will
RW: Reflex and Will
FRW: Fortitude, Reflex, and Will

spell_resistance

(Optional) : Yes, No
Whether or not the spell has a spell resistance check.

hostile

(Optional) : Yes, No
Whether or not the spell will break Invisibility, among other things, and is usually a good indication of whether or not the spell will harm the enemy.

touch_attack_type

(Optional) : Melee, Ranged
The type of touch attack, if the spell involves one.

empower

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be empowered.

extend

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be extended.

maximize

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be maximized.

quicken

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be quickened.

silent

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be cast silently.

still

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be stilled.

persist

(Optional) : Yes
Whether or not the spell can be persisted.

invocation

(Optional) : Essence, Shape
The type of invocation.
Essence: Eldritch essence
Shape: Blast shape

suppress_categories

(Optional) : Yes
Allows the suppression of any categories the template would usually add.
