I havent even placed the OC yet, so now Im wondering: Is this sword available for PC use in the OC and the MOTB? I usually hate longswords but this one looks pretty cool. I might make my way through the entire mod with a female drow warlock just because that picture is also pretty cool, hehe

Yes, you can wield it in the OC, but it really sucks. Just look at the stats. 1d8 for a two handed weapon and a +4 enchantment?

Depends on which class you play. My Human Fighter/Weapon Master(Longsword)/Neverwinter Nine got one that worked with my build. The one for my Rouge/Shadowd-dancer/Assassin was decent, for fights near the end. As for my Bard/Harper Agent, it frankly sucked. Yes, I know multi-class a bit to much :3

I know this place is mostly dead, but... How exactly does the game decide what version the player will get? Does it check your starting class? Or the base class with the highest level? Also, how much bonus cold damage it deal when that 20% thing triggers?

This is a universal weapon, so the base damage (d8) and bonus (1d12 slash) is the same for all classes, though the enhancement bonus changes based on the class. As to the intent of your questions, I don't know. My guess is the highest base level class at the time of acquiring the sword determines the additional benefits it gives. While some effects are useful, personally I've haven't found it of enough utility to spend much time planning for it: the Silver Sword of Gith comes late, most of its benefits (aside from the enhancements bonuses) are better replicated much earlier and you can't take it with you to other modules. You can't use a feat to select weapon focus with universal weapons and if you're playing a fighter, you can't specialize with them either, so that may be taken into account as well.

Swashbuckler[]

The article details all the special stats the sword has for each class except swashbuckler. Does that mean swashbuckler gets no class specific powers from the sword?
