After comparing the spell scripts for Shadow Shield and Death ward, it seems that immunity to instant death effects and immunity to death magic are the same, but I can't figure out if it is an immunity against a spell descriptor or against an effect. There are more immunities possible to add through scripting, but I did not include those because there are no feats, spells, or item properties that grant them. --KaTTaNa 06:27, 25 December 2006 (PST)

There is no such thing as a spell descriptor immunity, the immunity: Mind Spells applies to certain effects regardless of the spell source (Mind immunity is things like Fear, Stun, Daze... doesn't matter if its from the Daze spell or from Stinking Cloud or whatever). Immunity: Death is the same, it applies against any effect which will kill the object instantly using EffectDeath. - Jasperre 11:57, 25 December 2006 (PST)
I see. I'll try to correct the article, then. --KaTTaNa 04:15, 26 December 2006 (PST)
When you are done I might add some information for modders/builders and update, if needed (but I am sure not much will be) anything that is missing. - Jasperre 09:12, 26 December 2006 (PST)

For Mask of the Betrayer 1.23, damage vulnerability stacks. It even bypasses/cancels out a damage immunity you may have. For example:

Essence of Fire crafted onto an armor grants 100% fire immunity Holding the orglash crystal in your inventory makes you 50% vulnerable to fire

If your character was hit by a hellball or fireball, you would still take half of the fire damage. In addition, if you are wielding weapons with shadow of the void essences (25% fire vulnerability), those vulnerabilities will stack. If you dual-wielded two shadow of the void weapons while holding the orglash crystal (25% + 25% + 50% = 100%), you would take full fire damage even if you had 100% fire immunity. And I suppose 200% fire damage if you had no immunity. —This unsigned comment is by 76.216.151.73 (wall) 00:20, December 28, 2009‎ . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Nope, just tested MOTB 1.23 (then tested again after removing mods) and any fire immune character (both my RDD(10) and anyone protected with Energy Immunity: Fire) take 0 empowered Fireball damage even while holding the Orglash Crystal.  The Orglash Crystal was confirmed working with 0 cold damage Ice Storms.  Likewise a character wielding a weapon enchanted with the Shape of Fire Essence (25% cold vulnerability) took 0 cold damage from Ice Storm protected by Energy Immunity: Cold.   67.172.42.133 19:09, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

What about stacking in the positive direction?  Say, if you have an item granting 15% immunity and one granting 5%, do they sum, or run best-case?
