You deal halved sneak attack damage against creatures that are normally immune to sneak attacks.

Its divide the damage by half and not the number of dice. Also note that half of a 1d6 is not the same as a 1d3 and any rounding down only applies to the final result half point.

The possiblilties for half 1d6 is 0, 1, 1, 2, 2 or 3 so the average is 1.5 and not half  the average of a 1d6 which is 3.5/2 or 1.75. But half of 2d6 also does not average to 3 (1.5 x 2) and is actualy 3.25. This is because for a single d6 on a roll of 1, 3 or a 5 when halved the result is rounded down but for multiple half points, the two halves become a whole. So for 50% of the outcomes a half point is lost or .25 on average.

Halved damage = (Full damage)/2 - 0.25 and round to nearest

Added gameplay notes based on the above observations - good catch. Raelind (talk) 03:47, June 26, 2019 (UTC) Some players were doing themselves a discredit, rounding down the dice and then trying to keep even sneak dice.

Insightful Strike[]

Does the swashbuckler insightful strike get improved by this feat? Thanks! HolyGuardian80 (talk) 03:25, December 26, 2019 (UTC)

I see that someone did add a note on this page. Is it correct, however? Does the full damage really apply or is it halved? HolyGuardian80 (talk) 03:27, December 26, 2019 (UTC) Good point, where are the notes about Insightful Strike, Death Attack and Bleeding Wounds? Did you find any notes on other pages? Insightful and Death Attack should be full damage, Bleeding Wounds unsure Ragimund (talk) 23:28, December 29, 2019 (UTC)
