In most cases damage reduction is an extraordinary ability but can also be a supernatural ability, such as with the warlock class. From the stand-point of the SRD 3.5 rules this ability would no longer exist if the character (warlock) entered an anti-magic field. Anyone know how Obsidian is implementing this? Generic bonus feat, one for ex type and one for su types? --Guur3k 00:51, 20 September 2006 (PDT)

Individual sources of damage reduction don't stack. But damage resistance seems to stack with damage reduction (for example swordsman's belt + stoneskin).

Universal Damage Reduction[]

Dwarven Defender damage reduction stacks with the feat.

There may be other stacking I don't know about. Could a knowledgeable editor fill this in? E.g., I assume the abovementioned DR stacks with the Barbarian's reduction, since they're all feat-based. I know feat-based DR doesn't stack with the 3/- reduction on an Adamantine Full Plate. I assume Ironskin Chant doesn't stack with anything either, but I'm not sure. -- 16:20, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
