You summon a Shadow to be a faithful and loyal servant. The type on Shadow is based on caster level:
- Level 7 and below: 3HD Shadow
- Level 8-10: Shadow mastiff
- Level 11-14: 7HD Shadow
- Level 15+: 9HD Shadow

- This spell is only available through Shadow Conjuration or it's greater version.
- Summon Shadow is mostly identical to Negative plane avatar Death domain ability. The only differences are duration and using character caster level as opposed to specifically Cleric level.
- Script (nw_s0_summshad) has code for extended version even through it's not possible to apply any metamagic to this spell.
- Compared to the Summon Creature line of spells, summons of this spell are weaker.
