Description[]

Usually crafted of hardwood and occasionally shod with metal at either end, the quarterstaff is a humble weapon that almost anyone can learn to use effectively.

Note: Quarterstaves are among the few weapons that are made from wood. A quarterstaff that is made with duskwood has a +1 magical damage bonus, while a staff made from zalantar has +1 electrical damage bonus. Since the crafting molds for quarterstaves in NWN2 do not use metal ingots, they cannot be made with cold iron, alchemical silver, or adamantine for bypassing damage reduction.

Favored weapon[]

The following deities favor the quarterstaff:

DnD 3.5 comparison[]

  • In NWN, quarterstaffs are treated as two-handed weapons (not double weapons) and that is the case again in NWN2. [1]
