Description[]
You conjure an image of utmost horror to strike down a single creature. The target may attempt a Will save to disbelieve the spell, avoiding all ill effects. Failing that, the target then makes a Fortitude save to avoid instant death. A successful save still inflicts 3d6 points of magic damage.
Creatures immune to mind spells, fear, phantasms, and death magic are immune to this spell.
Bugs[]
- Creatures immune to Death Magic (Death Ward, Deathless Frenzy) are immune to this spell. Phantasmal Killer shares this bug with Weird, which is also stopped by Death Magic Immunity. In NWN1, both spells bypassed death immunity, because the descriptor in both cases is "Fear, Mind-Affecting," and not "Death" (as in Slay Living/Finger of Death). That said, NWN1 had this bug for a long time before it was finally patched.
