Modules are self-contained game files that hold all of the gameplay information for a particular adventure.
NWN2 modules will not be backward compatible with NWN modules, because the graphics engine has been rewritten. However, some NWN content -- most likely conversations and scripts -- will be able to be imported into NWN2 modules.
