Description[]
The spell imparts a physical transformation upon the subject, not unlike the process that produces a zombie. While the subject does not actually become undead, its vital processes are temporarily bypassed with no seeming ill effect. The subject is not subject to sneak attacks and critical hits for the duration of this spell, as though it were undead. While the spell is in effect, the subject takes a -4 penalty to Charisma score (to a minimum of 1).
Gameplay Notes[]
- This is the only spell that a caster can use to grant an ally immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks. They have other spells that they can use to grant themselves this ability.
- The Charisma penalty can be avoided if the target has immunity to Ability Drain/Damage, either from an item or (Mass) Death Ward.
- The impact script for this spell is nx2_s0_living_undeath.nss
Bug Notes[]
- There seems to be issue with this spell's function; critical hits landing with this spell in effect on a target have occurred. That said, bug seems to be in the "critical hits immunity" effect, not the spell itself.
- This spell cannot be made persistent.
