Hag

Hags are a variety of horrible monstrous humanoids, resembling an exceedingly aged woman. Although different hags are unique in appearance and mannerism, they have many aspects in common. All take the form of crones whose bent shapes belie their fierce power and swiftness.

Though rarely seen along the Sword Coast, hags are quite common in the distant wilds of Rashemen, where they frequently seduce (and later devour) unlucky men. Male children of these unions are the twisted hagspawn, renowned for their physical strength and their uncanny resistance to magic.

Some varieties of hags include:

• Annis: Garden variety of hags, fond of using disguises.
• Green hag: Hags native to swamps and forested regions.
• Bheur: These wintry hags are known for their icy disposition and temperament.
• Night hag: Not technically a hag, but actually a type of fiend.
