Damnation
Spell Information
Spell level : Innate level: Epic
School : Enchantment
Components : Verbal and Somatic
Range : Touch
Target/Area : Creature touched
Duration : Instant
Save : Will partial (DC+5)
Spell resistance : No

Description

You banish a single foe to the Hells, with no possibility of return. You must succeed at a melee touch attack. If the target fails the saving throw, it is dragged screaming into the Hells, to be tormented and ultimately devoured by fiends. Creatures that succeed at their saving throw are nonetheless exhausted from resisting so powerful an enchantment, and they are Dazed for 1d6+1 rounds.

Gameplay notes

This spell doesn't actually send the target anywhere. It simply kills them on failed save. Death Ward and similar effects do not prevent this from occurring. Immunity to mind-affecting effects does not stop the spell either, but negates the daze effect on a successful save.

The in-game description incorrectly states that this spell is subject to spell resistance.

Acquisition

To learn this spell, a character must take the feat Epic Spell: Damnation.

Type of feat: Epic

Prerequisite: Ability to cast 9th level spells1, Spellcraft 32 ranks

Classes: Cleric, Warlock2, Sacred Fist, Warpriest, Harper Agent

Notes

1 Any level 9 spell qualifies, regardless of class. Any dark invocation also qualifies, regardless of its equivalent spell level.

2 This feat may be taken on a Warlock level if and only if the character is able to cast dark invocations. This is because there are actually two feats corresponding to this epic spell: one for warlocks and one for non-warlocks. It should be noted that no character will ever be eligible for both feats due to the character level cap of 30.
