Some traits include:
- Tolerance
- Open-mindedness
- Ideals of freedom
- Enthusiasm
- Emotionality
- Doing "what you feel to be right"
- A sound mistrustfulness towards authorities
- Bending contracts (or the law) when it seems to be better for all involved
More extreme traits include:
- Making contracts and never intending to fulfill them.
- Double-crossing (or triple-crossing)
- Instability
- Dishonesty
- Stealing
- Subjectivity
- Self-centredness
- Wantonness
- Insanity
- Anarchy
- Anomie
Elves, fey, demons, slaadi, eladrins, lillends, rogues, bards, barbarians, warlocks, and arcane tricksters are archetypal examples of chaotic, to various degrees.
