Description[]
All allies in the area of effect gain a +10 bonus to their Hide checks.
Bug Notes[]
- The range is "Long" (and is so in the spells.2da) yet the spell script specifically gets people in a collossal area based on OBJECT_SELF - the casters - location! Either it should use GetSpellTargetLocation() or the spell should be reclassified as a Personal ranged spell.
- Line 44: This spell does 2 single events, possibly confusing a On Spell Cast At event. It does one one line 44 in the main script, for spell 454 (Mass Camo) then an additional one in DoCamo() on line 547, for spell 421 - ie; normal Camouflage. Best option would be to remove the signal event from DoCamo() and edit Camouflage to have a separate Signal Event just above where DoCamo() is called.
- In-game spell description lists Innate level as 4, should be 2. The value is properly set in spells.2da, however, so it's a minor bug.
- At the same time, level for Plant domain Cleric listed as 2 but is actuall 4. It seems someone accidentally switched the numbers.
Gameplay Notes[]
This simply helps to boost a party with hide. At the level it is obtained, it is pretty useful in helping gain an advantage, as long as the party generally has good enough hide skills to surprise an enemy (and gaining an upper hand with initial spells, sneak attacks and competency bonuses to hit).
The area of effect is quite large, and can usually get an entire party at once if grouped together. It is beneficial to Rangers, who can have higher hide skills than Druids, but with this it means the entire party can gain hide bonuses, including the Rogues (who can use sneak attack).
However, it is a utility spell and cannot be used in combat due to the character not being able to hide in enemies' lines of sight. (except for those with Hide In Plain Sight; Ranger 17th lvl wilderness only, Shadow Dancer lvl 1 anywhere and Assassin Lvl 8 anywhere)
