Description[]
The target creature's Strength is increased by +4.
Gameplay Notes[]
Like other ability enhancing spells, this doesn't stack with items or other spells which provide strength bonuses of any kind. It has a reasonable duration, and can greatly help melee fighters until more powerful spells are available, or items outrank this spells effects.
A +4 bonus to strength gives the best bonuses to a melee fighter, providing both +2 to hit, and +2 damage. The strength bonus will also temporarily raise the carrying capacity of the creature too.
For anything other then a melee fighter, the bonuses are pretty useless, except for thrown weapons (throwing axes, shuriken) from a ranged attack which gain the +2 damage bonus. Bows with the mighty property add a damage bonus equal to the strength modifier as long as it is less than or equal to the mighty limit.
NWN comparison[]
- NWN was faithful to the DnD 3.0 version of this spell, which was 1d4+1 on the stat.
